The Complexity Paradox: Power of Intentional Simplicity
“If you want to be happy, do little. Most of what we say and do is unnecessary. remove the superfluity, and you will have more time and less bother.”
— Aurelius, Meditations
Humans are interesting creatures. We simultaneously love complexity and simplicity. My conclusion is that what is simple is actually complex; and what is complex is actually simple.
The people I admire the most live relatively simple lives. Yet they are also some of the most interesting. They came to the simpler lifestyle by living through complexity and challenges first.
In other words, their simplicity represents their intentionality.
They chose it for themselves. There is a similar concept in industrial design. The original iPhone was elegant not because it was complex, but because it was simple to use.
On the other hand, people who cram their lives with lots of complexity are not always intentional, instead they may simply be following the crowd.

My Message? Practice Vulnerability. I emphasize the importance of writing, especially journaling, as a powerful tool for practicing vulnerability and honesty with myself. By being transparent and honest during the writing process, I can develop my vulnerability, which is crucial for forming genuine connections with others and fostering personal growth. Journaling serves as a safe space for me to explore and confront my thoughts and feelings without judgment, thereby strengthening my ability to be open and vulnerable in meaningful relationships and enhancing my self-understanding. Essentially, I see vulnerability as a muscle that needs regular exercise, and journaling is an effective way for me to build this muscle and achieve deeper, more authentic connections and self-awareness
